about

According to Carl LeBlanc "Plarine Days" refers to the traditional New Orleans sugary peanut candy a delicacy made and sold by African American women in the streets of New Orleans back when he was growing up. The spelling diverges of the one found in the dictionary - praline - but instead, it matches the accent inflection of New Orleans natives.
