about

"Lavender Street Parade" makes reference to the Gentilly neighborhood in New Orleans, where the composer lived for a number of years - more specifically the section where all streets are named after flowers - and it also pays homage to the composer's New Orleans aunties Diana & Cherlyn Jolla, and grandma Surfronia B. Jolla.
